Welcome to FIMP 2016!

 

Everyone is invited to what we hope is a very special edition of FIMP. This year we will focus on the handling of the objects and puppets and how objects can be extensions to the human body.

The artists participating in the festival will bring challenging and intense creations that will above all make you feel and think.

It is a long-lasting FIMP tradition to promote the hybrid nature of the performing arts and fusion among them, with the wandering puppet as the center piece.

Several generations of artists will have their work on show, this will allow us to see what has been done in the recent past as well as to glimpse into the future.

The show (work in progress) WIP and the workshops WOP will be continued in this edition providing opportunities to develop experiments into unknown fields of art.

The Bolsa de Criação Isabel Alves Costa Project is back and will premier the outcomes from its second edition.

This year's festival will be all across town, at the Teatro Municipal do Porto, at the Teatro Nacional São João, at the Teatro de Ferro rehearsal room and in schools and community halls across Porto

Since 1989 FIMP has been a fruit of will, dedication and the work of a large group of people. We want to thank all our sponsors, to the artists and to everyone that makes this festival possible and above all to the public to whom this festival is dedicated.
