In 2018 Limite Zero is turning fifteen. To celebrate they decided to put on Pequeno Cabaret ao Amanhecer (Small Cabaret at Dawn).
At this cabaret puppets move between a variety of acts and possibilities between the so called real and the unreal, exploring the bond between the body of the actor and the puppet.
The night as a shelter for freedom, the yearning for a different life: "in a small shop parade many singers, pianists, comedians, ballerinas, but also politicians, bankers, refugees and entrepreneurs, all characters in the show and all treated with the fierceness of people who have nothing to lose."
Mr. Serafim Bidoche and his wife Valentina Cavalcanti are shutting the doors of their coffee shop, maybe for good. The place is no longer trendy, it's a decadent place, and business is poor. As he tides up, tired from work, and from fighting the passing of time, daydreaming Serafim drinks, sings, and let's himself be taken by the magic spell of alcohol, tobacco and the foregone illusions, and he imagines a new life in which he could have been a cabaret artist. Valentina shares in this illusion.
In a small shop in a small village somewhere, parade singers, pianists, comedians, ballerinas, but also politicians, bankers, refugees and entrepreneurs, all characters in the show and all treated with the fierceness of people who have nothing to lose.
For a few hours, Serafim Bidoche and Valentina Cavalcanti turn reality into fantasy, objects into people, the outlawed into a game, the night into a space of freedom.
Limite Zero aims to create cultural production that includes a variety of art forms. Its activity includes theatre and puppet theatre productions, as well as video and workshops.
It is also very active in experimenting and merging with multiple art forms: drama, puppetry and video.
