Phobos is a set of small robots and music generating devices gathered in a Dysfunctional Robotic Orchestra. An orchestra of strange instruments displaying a series of defects, mutations and erratic behaviour. Phobos is a critic view on the technological superposition on human thinking, on the role of work and modern forms of slavery, looking retrospectively at the several attempts of human liberation through machinery, at technological utopias, at freedoms' advances and setbacks.

According to Greek mythology, Phobos is the incarnation of fear; it is also the name of Mars' biggest moon – condemned to disappear due to its orbit's proximity to the planet.
