PITA

Peter Rehberg's collaboration with Paris based puppeteer and choreographer Gisèle Vienne began in 2001, with the production of the DACM piece "Showroomdummies".

Although that material was intended for consumption in a theatrical setting, it has been edited for domestic use, representing ultimately the grey zone where puppetry, literature, contemporary theatre & dance, visual art, and extreme computer music meet.

In 1999 Rehberg was awarded the Prix Arts Electronica for Digital Music and Art Sound. That same year he premiered in Portugal with Christian Fennesz at the Bienal de Foz Côa. He is now back for a solo concert, premiering in Porto.

"Laptop music" owes to "Pita" the recognition it has today. He has developed a very individual aesthetic in synthetized/ synthetic music.

With more than a dozen albums released, ranging a variety of styles within experimental music, he has been critically acclaimed.
