Assim não vais longe

'Assim não vais longe' aims to act on the level of visual perception, regarding the building of space. Its guiding principle is light and its movement; action as a consequence leading to an end and the mastering of time.

Gustavo Sumpta was born in Luanda (Angola), in 1970. He lives and works in Lisbon and Berlin. He attended a degree in History at Faculdade de Letras do Porto. He graduated from balleteatro, in Porto, where he studied performance. He worked as an assistant and as an actor in several films by Pedro Costa, such as: Cavalo Dinheiro (2014), Juventude em Marcha(2006) and End of a Love Affair (2003). He wrote and co-interpreted, along with choreographer João Fiadeiro the shows Existência (2002) and Para onde vai a luz quando se apaga (2006). He was a sculpture teacher at Ar.co, in Lisbon, from 2009 to 2013. He works as a visual artist and performer since 1999.
